UK Deliveries

Standard Delivery Charges England, Wales & Scottish Lowlands:

From £4.99 up to £6.99 for total order.

If you would like your order before 12 noon, before 10 am or before 9 am delivery, please call 01747 356 036. There is an additional charge for this service on top of the standard delivery charges as follows:-


Before 12 noon Add £18. 

Before 10 am Add £22.

Saturday Delivery Add £16.

Isle of Wight postcodes PO30-40 = From £13.99 (2 day delivery - weekdays only).

Colour Cards are £3.99 for up to 5 selections and £5.99 for 6 or more (up to a maximum of 10).

Saturday Delivery Charges = From £19.99 (ordered before 12pm Thursday)

Applies to England, Wales & Scottish Lowlands only.

Scottish Mainland Highland areas (up to 7 day service excluding Saturdays) = From £15.99 Postcodes are: AB31-56, FK19-21, IV1-36/63, KW1-14, PA21-38, PH1-41,49/50.

Scottish Offshore Islands (up to 10 day service excluding Saturdays) = From £19.99 Postcodes are: HS1-9, KW15-17, KA27/28, PA20,41-78, PH42-44, IV40-49,51-56 ZE1-3.

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man & Scilly Isles (up to 10 day services excluding Saturday) = From £19.99

Channel Islands (up to 10 day service excluding Saturdays) = From £21.99

Delivery cut-off times are:  12pm Monday (for Tuesday), 1pm Tuesday (for Wednesday),  1pm Wednesday (for Thursday), 1pm Thursday (for Friday), 1pm Friday (for Monday). Please contact us for a formal quote for special delivery or palletised items. All delivery charges include vat unless stated. Please note, we will always endeavour to deliver on the delivery day stated, however we do not guarantee the delivery day. We will under all circumstances deliver your order within 30 days in accordance with DSR law. 

Packaging & Handling Charge

Incrementally charged at: £0-£50 = £0.75p, £50-100 = £1.00, £100-£200 = £1.50, £200-£300 = £2.00, £300-£400 = £3.00, £400-£500 = £4.00, £500-£750 = £6.00, £750-1000 = £9.00.


Orders will be delivered on your selected day, unless we have contacted you to arrange an alternative. Some tester/sample orders are sent via Royal Mail and may take a few days. The delivery address you provide at the time of placing your order must be either:

•    the cardholders address (as shown on your card statement)
•    an alternative/business address which we can verify (such as your place of work).
•    please note that it is a requirement that the first order is delivered to the account holders billing address.

Deliveries take place Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm (excluding bank holidays) unless a Saturday delivery has been selected which will be between 8am and 1pm. We cannot specify a particular delivery time unless you request and pay for a before 12 noon or before 10am service. Prices for this service are available on request and the service cannot be implemented retrospectively. We do not deliver on a Sunday. All orders (except some tester orders) require a signature upon delivery, so if you’re unlikely to be in during the day, consider having your order delivered to your place of work, or another address where somebody will be able to accept and sign for it. If you are happy for the delivery to be left "unsigned for" please give us specific instructions when placing your order to pass on to the courier. Whilst Paint Direct will make every effort to carry out specific customer requests we do however reserve the right to deliver goods unsigned, or leave the goods at the delivery address or deliver to a neighbour unsigned. Deliveries to neighbours or those left without signature are left at the risk of the purchaser and in the event they go missing Paint Direct will not replace the goods. All deliveries are tracked and therefore proof that delivery has been made is recorded.

Please note, we will always endeavour to deliver on the delivery day stated, however we do not guarantee the delivery day. We will under all circumstances deliver your order within 30 days in accordance with DSR law. 

You will receive a confirmation email when the transaction is completed, and another on the date of despatch - provided your email address is valid. Please check all of your order carefully as soon as it has been delivered to include checking that all the colours you have ordered are correct by lifting the lids to check the colour inside the can, and inform us in writing by email to of any missing, wrong or damaged items within 24 hours of receipt. Please note, whilst we put all tinted and mixed to order tins through a shaker to mix the paint, the paint will also require stirring prior to use.  Failure to comply with this request will invalidate any claim after this time. Please ensure you store the items you have ordered in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.  

*All orders placed with Paint Direct are subject to stock availability. 

In the event that a tin size is out of stock we reserve the right to send the customer a larger tin than requested. Similarly, where stock is not available we reserve the right to send 2.5 litre in place of 3 x 750 ml, 2.5 in place of 2 x 1 litre, 5 litre in place of 2 x 2.5 litre etc. We will normally try to ring the customer on the day of dispatch to advise in this instance.

Additional Order Requests

Please note, once an order has been made, we are unable to add to the order over the telephone. Should you wish to purchase additional goods you will need to do so online. Alternatively, should you require additional  services including upgrading a delivery time you should contact us via email. A pro forma invoice will be raised for your attention and settlement can only be accepted by BACS transfer direct to our bank. 

Off Shore & Foreign Deliveries

We are delighted to announce we are now able to offer deliveries for offshore & foreign addresses for the majority of our products. (One noticeable exception to this is Farrow & Ball paint, unfortunately, we are not licensed to ship this offshore).

Before you make your enquiry, we must make you aware of the following important points:-

a/ All enquiries and subsequent communication to us must be made in writing by email. 

b/ We cannot offer an exact delivery day.

c/ We are unable to send 6 litre, 7 litre, 7.5 litre, 10 litre and 15 litre products unless purchased in pallet quantities. 

d/ You should arrange your own insurance against short delivery, loss and damage. We do not offer replacement or refund in the case of short delivery, damaged or lost goods under any circumstance.

e/ All goods sold for offshore delivery are sold at the PAINT Direct RRP (recommended retail price) plus fees as stated below. Quantity buy offers and discount deals do not apply.  

f/ All payments must be made in £ pounds striling. 

By raising your enquiry you are deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions (a, b , c, d, e and f) along with the terms and conditions stated below 1(a), 2(b), 3(c), 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. 

1(a). Should you wish to raise an enquiry for offshore delivery please email with your exact requirements. Your enquiry should state the number of tins and size of tins required, brand and finish along with the exact delivery address with ZIP code. 

2(b). No delivery time guarantee is offered for foreign and off shore deliveries. This is because we are unable to track orders once they have left the UK mainland as we are reliant upon external couriers to deliver from that point. We are also unable to contact external offshore couriers and therefore cannot offer you any time delivery guarantees.

3(c). You should insure the goods against loss or damage. We are unable to offer this service and do not replace or refund goods which are short delivered, lost or damaged.

4. Should goods be considered defective (inclusive of colour discrepancy issues), you will be required to return the goods to us at your own expense for analysis by the manufacturer. Credit will only be offered in the event that a full manufacturers analysis has been carried out and the manufacturer finds the goods defective. The analysis process can take up to 30 days of receipt of the returned goods. Should goods be found to be faulty a credit will be offered to be used within 90 days against one future order. No refund or replacement product will be issued under any circumstance.

5. All orders for delivery offshore and foreign destinations are subject to the following administration fees:- Goods up to the value of £250.00 - £15.00, Goods over £250.00 - 5% of the order value. 

6. All orders being despatched for offshore and foreign delivery are subject to the following transaction levy fees:- Goods up to the value of £250.00 - £5.00, Goods over £250.00 - 2% of the order value.   

7. All goods must be paid for in full via bank BACS transfer prior to despatch. A pro-forma invoice will be sent to you via email prior to payment and a VAT invoice sent upon written request via email, only after payment has been received.

8. VAT exemption rules apply as stated by the UK government guidance.
