Dulux Paint Mixing Online

There are many reasons why Dulux paint mixing could be a good option for you. Perhaps you’ve seen a colour you like and would like to re-create it? Or you’ve found an almost perfect shade yet it’s a little too dark? Or maybe you’d like to match a colour with a piece of furniture in your home?

Whatever your reason, paint mixing opens up the colour possibilities.

Dulux Colour Fan

Here at PAINT Direct, we have Dulux paint mixing machines that can produce thousands of colours, even if they’ve been discontinued. These don’t just include the hundreds of Dulux colours but the machines can also mix colours from the three main paint industry colour standards; British Standard (BS colours), RAL Colour System and Natural Colour System (NCS).

  • The British Standard colour system is one of the most popular options with the BS4800 the most familiar range. The BS colours are given a code which generally look like: 00 A 01, for instance.
  • The RAL colour system is a central European colour standard. RAL Classic is the most famous and widely used system. RAL colours are given a code that look like: RAL 1015.
  • The NCS colour system is commonly used in architecture and design. NCS colours are referenced similar to: S 0300-N
Mix to order colour picker

Once you know the colour you want, simply click on your desired Dulux paint, clicking ‘choose colour/size’ then on ‘Mixed to Order’ and selecting a colour from our colour picker or by entering your own Dulux colour code or name from one of the colour standards.

Something to be aware of… not all colours can be mixed in all finishes. Occasionally the colourants we put into our bases do not work and it’s just not possible to mix. We can check our mixing machines for any colour you’ve found, just let us know.

Handy Hint: colours will look different depending on the finish. For example, the colour Rock Salt in matt will appear different to Rock Salt in Eggshell. This is due to the light reflecting properties of the shinier finish. The shinier the finish, the lighter it will appear although the colour will be the same.

If you are looking for a colour to match against a fabric or wallpaper, we will need a sample of no smaller than a 50 pence piece. The mixing machine can scan your sample and suggest the closest existing colour according to a percentage match.
