There’s a problem that impacts all homes and that is the British weather.

Due to traditionally being a damp and wet environment, external walls in the UK tend to have a moisture content of approximately 10% to 20% which varies between material. This also varies due to the time of year and therefore, should become a factor when selecting your masonry paint.

Depending on the product used, exterior masonry paint can provide a waterproof, breathable layer that can protect your brickwork and rendering from all of the seasons.

Applying Granocryl Smooth Masonry Paint will help to increase the longevity of exterior render, brickwork, pebbledash and concrete as it will provide a barrier against moisture, which is especially problematic in England.

Granocyl Smooth Masonry Paint provides a smooth, durable coating, which maintains and enhances the original texture of the underlying surface. Suitable for most exterior masonry surfaces, offering excellent resistance to the accumulation of dirt, protecting against weathering and atmospheric pollution. The anti-carbonation properties also resist the ingress of carbon dioxide from car exhaust fumes and prevent deterioration of concrete.

Application

1 litre of Granocryl Smooth Masonry Paint will cover approximately 10 square metres on smooth surfaces. With all wall paints, the spreading rate will be reduced on rough and absorbent surfaces such as pebbledash. When using more than one tin of a colour, it is advised that you intermix the quantity required beforehand.

Apply two full coats, allowing 4-6 hours between coats under normal drying conditions. Do not apply when air or surface temperatures are below 10˚C, or when rain is imminent.
