The best Dulux Weathershield Masonry Paint Colours

Now that the sun is finally coming out, we can begin to think about decorating the outside of our house.

Exterior painting can be tricky, especially as it involves having to get up a ladder, so picking the wrong colour is definitely something to avoid...unless of course you love heights!

To help you find your perfect colour, and hopefully get your house painted in one attempt, we’ve put together a list of the best Dulux Weathershield Masonry Paint colours (in our opinion of course!).

1. Sandstone

Sandstone is one of the Dulux Weathershield colours that is underrated. Much like Gardenia, people tend to stay away in fear that their house may look plain, however, many colours can look like this without any accessories added.

When styled in the right way Sandstone is a charming colour that is inviting, and could easily resemble an idealistic cottage that one might see in a quaint little village.

Greenery and flowers are the best way to finish off this style, or you could try painting the outside trim or the front door in something more colourful so that it stands out.

2. Frosted Lake

Most people prefer to paint their homes in light creams and magnolias, but sometimes it’s nice to stand out from the crowd and have an eye-catching colour.

Pale blues are a popular colour choice to make a statement (according to Dulux) and Dulux have conveniently provided us with a blue that is made for this role.

Frosted Lake is a gorgeous light blue that is very flexible. It works well with whites, greys and other blues, so you can use it on as little or as much of your house as you want. Frosted Lake is a wonderful way to grab attention but not because it sticks out like a sore thumb, more so that it has the ability to make any house attractive and picturesque.

3. Toasted Terracotta

When using Toasted Terracotta on your house, you're already going to see a look forming, even without accessories.

It is a very bold colour choice that will transform your exterior completely and with a few finishing touches you can create your own little haven.

The image below shows Toasted Terracotta, matched with Sandstone, gorgeous succulents and bright textiles to resemble a Hispanic garden aesthetic.

4. Concrete Grey

Concrete Grey is a great colour for flexibility, its able to pair well with other colours or look great on its own.

For example, Concrete Grey is beautifully modern when used with a white colour such as Jasmine White or Black to create a two- tone effect, or use it on its own to create the perfect back drop for a cosy outdoor space.

Lighting is a big factor on what your finished wall will look like as shown in these images.

All are using Concrete Grey, but see how more light makes the colour seem lighter or darker. Make sure you take this into consideration when you start to decorate!

We hope that reading about our favourite colours from Dulux Weathershield has helped you to form ideas about what you might want for your house!
