Crown Colour Trends For 2022

This year, Crown paints team of amazing colour consultants have set their colour trends for this spring and summer, providing three different colour schemes: Liminal, Illusory and Reset.  
 
Each scheme has been created keeping in mind what people are feeling right now, what they are experiencing and, in turn what they may want and need from their homes; perhaps an escape from reality.

Liminal

Soothing, relaxing and calming is the environment that Liminal inspiration will create in your home. It’s about “creating a space that connects us to nature”, that grounds us with hues and tones from the natural world. The theme uses textures, clean lines, muted and subtle colours to give us a place for “quiet contemplation” and “airy openness”. Think holistic, a collection made of chalky aqua, botanical greenery, soft greys and deeper green, all centred around your well-being.

Illusory

The Illusory inspiration is all about the growing escape into the digital world, where we are surrounded by “explosive pops of colour”. Illusory is “unexpected but refined” using an unconventional mix of muted and faded colours such as “dreamlike pinks” which harmonise, with “bright neon citrus” and “deep muted amethyst” which brings the palette to life, helping to create a space that is contemporary, fun and dreamy.

Reset

Everyone is ready to escape to somewhere with lapping water and sunny climates. This scheme gives you the chance to “reset yourself back to balance”, using an almost watercolour palette of different blues, warm ochres and sandy hues, bringing a “sense of calm to people’s walls”. A feeling of equilibrium and “organic naturalness”, the Reset inspiration colour scheme has a positive effect on wellbeing; you will be able to feel the warmth of the sun and finally wind down.
