dont forget your clock

This weekend sees the move to British Summer Time (BST) and to avoid any confusion, it’s worth remembering the simple phrase ‘spring forward, fall back’. The good news is that the days will now start to get longer, the bad news is that we get a whole hour less in bed!

The clocks officially go forward on Sunday 26th March at 1am and whilst it may not quite feel like spring just yet, it won’t be long before the lighter evenings are upon us and with a bit of luck some proper spring sunshine will be on the way, which makes it the perfect time to think about a spot of decorating.

Spring is known as an energetic and lively time of year, which many of us love so adding a burst of bright colour can certainly breath a new life into your home.

Crown paints have published their take on trends for this Spring, which we will look at here….

Free Spirit

This trend is all about being fun using bright colours such as aquas, coral and oranges.

Fusion

This trend is all about being using bold and vivid colours. Mixing colours that clash to make an impression that stands out in your home.

Stillness

This trend is all about being using colours to help us relax and create a sophisticated space in the home by using an uplifting yellow and muted grey.
