Barrettine Button Polish is a premium finish for use on antique furniture to give it a highly polished appearance.

This Polish is often used to replicate an antique finish because its dark colour masks the grain pattern and colour of light woods.

Button Polish is appropriate for use over dyes and wood stains and has a high V.O.C.

This is similar to Brown French Polish however, the colour Button Polish produces is a warmer golden/orange.

While these are both good for darker woods, White French Polish works better on paler woods to keep the appearance of the grain.

Use Barrettine Patent Knotting to seal resinous areas and knots before painting!

Application Instructions

Barrettine button polish should be applied by brush or soft cloth.
3-10 coats are recommended.
Best results will be achieved if Barrettine button polish is administered in dry, warm conditions.
Allow 24 hours for the surface to fully harden.
The finish achieved by Barrettine button polish is still susceptible to water marking and heat and therefore the finish is often completed after the application of wax polish to improve its water resistance.
